I know a lot of people who have been #hurt by others. I know it does #emotionaldamage There are ways to #healthedamage so it doesn't spill out onto everyone else. I've used a lot of those tools on my own traumas, so I know that the #healingispossible Perhaps that's why it irritates me so much to see people who can heal, but refuse to #dothepersonalwork necessary. I know one person who recently lost her job because she refused to learn how to do things. She either thought it was too hard or couldn't be bothered with learning how to do the work, regardless, it cost her job and the respect of the other coworkers. I know another person who would rather verbally pick his emotional scabs than deal with the trauma and let it go. Because it's so important to him that he has to talk about it continually, his brain tweaks his perceptual filters to look for the trauma again. As a result, he continues to recreate the circumstances that led to the emotional trauma to begin with. It's costing him his health. People recreate patterns because to the subconscious mind, familiar is good. Familiar is comfortable. Unfamiliar is uncomfortable. I talk about metaframes in my work because mindset changes everything. #Mindset is the key to change and healing. The brain responds to internal stimuli in the same way it does external stimuli. The thalamus is the part of the brain that directs that stimuli to different sensory sections, and dictates behavior based on that stimuli. Creating a mental movie of a more ideal situation and pouring emotion into it causes the thalamus to look for opportunities to make that movie real. If that movie is the event that led to the emotional trauma, you get hundreds of related life events that reinforces the trauma. If that movie is you skating past the haters and into your best life, you get hundreds of related life events that reinforce that movie. If that movie is the event that led to the trauma, and you blank that event out, and extract the lessons, you can toss the event and never have to repeat that trauma again. The tools to heal are available, you just have to use them. SignUp for the LoveDoneRight minicourse
