DreamingMorocco Cultural Immersion Tour & GoddessRetreat August 2019 i think the complete cultural immersion gives u a chance to let go of what you think you know and just be... Morocco is a huge border country that’s been doing business across the world for centuries the idea that all people should be one thing is not as clean cut here... they have co-existed with jews and christians for centuries and given folks political refuge bec staying in business as a trader of goods required that they be open to difference esp coastal cities and the indigenous people are nomads...they refuse to be limited to borders... yes...it’s different from other parts of Africa each region & country is actually very different... my being different was not understood or accepted quite as readily in the west & southern parts of the continent although i’m eager to visit more coastal countries...but morocco is a place where tolerance is valued for practical reasons, their trade and livelihood depends on it... plus kindness to strangers is huge here in a way i’ve never experienced anywhere kindness in morocco is a sort of art form people are present and return to u what u give to them. when i was a impenetrable black woman expecting to be ostracized, people gave me my space... when i was open, curious, let go of all my american fears and allowed myself to be vulnerable, people stopped in the streets and went out of their way to make sure i was alright... u get what you ask for here in the way u behave Join the DreamingMorocco Cultural Immersion Tour & Goddess Retreat Learn more @www.TheDreamUnLocked.com/Dreaming-Morocco-Retreat-cta — at Kasbah, Chefchaouene.
